I want to send out a note that the cold and flu are upon us and I want these parents to keep their kids HOME if they are ill.
I also want them to respect the 24 hour rule. I've had two just in the last week try to push their littles back to daycare when they weren't ready.
This is what I have...Any Input? Help? Suggestions?
Cold and flu season is here.
I do everything I can to keep us all healthy.
We wash hands frequently, get fresh air, sleep and I offer healthy food.
I clean and sanitize constantly and wash all bedding at least once a week, more often if colds are going around.
The 24 hour rule---your child must be fever, vomit, diarrhea free for a full 24 hours before returning to my home. If they have been on any medication, the start time for the 24 hours begins after the medication wears off.
PLEASE NOTE: I realize that remnants of colds/clear runny noses and coughs can last a long time, and I do not expect you to keep your child home through the entire illness. If your child is past the contagious stage and well enough to return to the day care, he/she must be well enough to participate in all daily activities.
I have hand sanitizer available for parents by the sign in/out pens..feel free to use it.
If you are ill, please keep drop off and pick up times to a minimum. I will even bring your children outside to you and sign in/out for you if you are sick.
