    Halloween Newsletter Templates - Daycare

Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get free newsletter templates from? I only have Microsoft Works and the templates are horrid...

Or how do you make your newsletters? I just started doing them last month and low and behold, the parents actually read it and did most of our Fun Friday themes/activities!

I want to do a Halloween themed one for October and I downloaded a program from the internet, but all the free ones aren't good at all.

    Thanks!

I believe there are some good templates on Microsoft Publisher.

I'll be the first to admit I'm almost 100% computer illiterate. I downloaded a newsletter template from Microsoft publisher and now cannot figure out how to substitute my own information.
I've got to keep checking for something as simple as it gets. Something a 2 yo could do.

Are you using the predefined templates that come with Publisher? If that's the case you just select the text they've already got in the boxes and replace it with your own. I see that they have a template for a newsletter called "kid stuff" in my 2007 version of Publisher that would be easy to work with.

              In mine I include:
Weekly themes and the Fun Friday activity that coordinates with the theme

We do a letter, shape, and color of the week so I'm going to start putting what we will be working on for the month. (we work on them at circle and find things that coordinate during the day)

              Any Birthdays that month

Things to Remember-I put notes to/for the parents. For instance, last month I put to please bring extra clothes back or things that I am too chicken to tell them in person..

If I am closed on a certain day that month.

Last month I gave them info. on the Stars program for our state because I am participating.

Any random info that I want them to know

And a thank you to the parents for trusting me to take care of their children at the bottom

I only have Microsoft Works so it's nothing fancy..

                  I use templates from teacherspayteachers.

This is the one that I currently use and I change out the school bus for clip art that goes with the current month.

Thanks everyone! I looked into getting Publisher, but it is $109.00! I think I'll just have to stick with boring old Works.

I have Microsoft 365 I think it's called and it's $10 a month to get Publisher, Word, Power Point, and Excel. Yeah, it ends up being a bit more than $109 but I couldn't afford the upfront cost and I like that I can cancel if I need to.
