Which Wooden Kitchen Playset Would You Suggest?

I was wondering which you would all prefer as I am wanting to buy a wooden kitchen set I think. I want a new one as mine are smaller and I want taller ones for my little older/taller kids!

    • Easy open drawers and cupboards. (I prefer shelves...no pinched fingers)
    • No easy to peel off stickers (they WILL peel them off)
    • No pop off knobs or pieces (they WILL find a way to get them off)
    • Cleanable!!! (kids leave prints everywhere no matter how clean you think you are)

Other than that I have no suggestions.

We were given a Pottey Barn pink retro wooden kitchen by past clients. It was used by their 3 girls, and we have had it for 3 years - and it has held up phenomenally well. But the price is pretty steep, but it does hold up very well.

I am working on one like this. I hate spending $$ on things I or Dh could make.

I bought the Elves and Angels wooden kitchen from someone selling on Craiglist's. I paid $50. Keep your eyes on Craigslist because, as nice as this wooden set it (much better than plastic--in my opinion), $179 retail price is way too much to pay brand new!

Natural Wooden Toy Play Julianna's Kitchen, handmade in Maine by Master craftsman David Smalley. Elves and Angels has been crafting wooden toy play kitchens for over 25 years. We are proud to bring your child the highest quality play kitchens available anywhere, proudly made in the USA

NOT this one. I have it. http://www.diapers.com/p/little-tike...y-center-39935

It was adorable so I bought it. I thought the attached laundry center was so cute. I'm not sure why it has such a high rating on this site. I bought it directly from the Little Tikes site though.

The door from the dryer comes off so easily and is hard to pop back on. I now leave it off. The dishwasher and oven open in the direction that real ones do so little ones can't help themselves and step on them when they're down. The dishwasher one has broken already so we only have a shelf there now. It is only a matter of time before the stove does the same thing. Oh and the refrigerator door is really hard to open. They have to yank on it.

I usually like Little Tikes products but was very disappointed with this.

Edited to add: I didn't see it just now on the Little Tikes site and this site says vendor discontinued it. I guess I wasn't the only one who didn't like it! BUT if you see a used one, don't buy it. You'll be sorry.

This one is similar to the one I have and made by the same company:http://www.kidkraft.com/toys-and-pla...kitchens/53181

I bought it used 4 years ago and it still looks brand new!

I wanted a beautiful wooden kitchen set for my program so I ordered this one:

Well that was six months ago and I have yet to receive it. When you order from that site it charges your credit card instantly so I am out the $250 I scrimped and saved to buy it
So not this one (though I still love the look of it)!

Look for plans on the Ana white website.

Sounds like you need to file a dispute with either the company or your credit card. What a bummer!

They are hand made in the USA, out of quality wood. They are beautiful pieces of furniture. You can mix and match.

You might need a second job though. They are worth every penny.

Also make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. A lot of times they respond to that. Also, never buy anything without looking at the BBB rating. Also go directly to the BBB site to look at a company's rating. If they just display the BBB logo on their website it might be fake. I found one that was!!

Look on CL & turn a side table or entertainment center into a gorgeous custom one. For $50-$70, you can have an amazing custom kitchen, depending on the size you want. Pinterest has tons of pics of befores & afters

That's awful. I've seen similar in etsy, also.
