Is mom willing to take him back to the doc
Maybe, if she sees this on the weekend, she'll consider it. Right now, she doesn't see much of it. In the evenings, it's either the swing, nap, or one-on-one time, so he's not quite as cranky.

It could just be that he is trained for motion (the holding and swinging) so he is actually crying for comfort, not food. That would be my first guess if he wasnt really drinking those bottles. I mean eventually he will if you keep offering milk and he is ****ling for comfort (and taking in milk very slooooowly) but that doesnt mean milk is really what he is wanting.

Would be my first guess, too.

Except...when he cries and I offer the bottle, he ****s on it like it's the only thing on earth he's ever wanted. Root root root...**** OMG thank you! Then, he guzzles 2 oz...stops to burp (pushes nipple out). Once he burps...offer bottle back...stick tongue out. Try again, same thing. Put him down...ok a few minutes, then "weeeeh!". Pick him up, offer bottle, **** like there's no tomorrow for 2 oz, then push out for a burp. While he's ****ing, he makes those contented noises like "oh, yeah.....".

Decided today to give him as much as he wants in a 20 minute time frame. If he cries after that, explore all other avenues (including nap) instead of more food. I don't mind feeding him every 2 hours, but not for 45 minutes of it and so much. If it's 4 or 5 oz. in 20 minutes, he must really be hungry, even if it's only been 2 hours.

Of course, another issue here is that if I have to put him down because he's not drinking, it's also because there are 3 other kiddos here. So, I can't sit there and hold him for 5 or 10 minutes patting his back to see if he maybe wants to burp more. A couple minutes, a good burp, and we need to get back at it, baby!

another option for a reflux high needs baby would be a vibrating bouncer. I would think that most 3 month olds are not ready for an excersaucer.
