    This is a Joke Right?

Yesterday my licensing inspector shows up to do a "surprise" inspection even though I knew she was coming. I had applied for group status at the time of my family home renewal and have been communicating with her about it. She called and said she would be out Tues or Wed.

She shows up and I am asking her (suggesting actually) what she needs to see. She had no clue that I was to be inspected as group and was doing it as a family home, not that it's different.

I've been doing this a long time and she is fairly new, started 1 year ago. She states that she does not have my group application even though it was in the same envelope as the renewal. Geesh!

Today she calls and says that she needs a paper redated and to email it. She will come back out and inspect me again as a group because she found the application and her boss told her to. What? Everything is the same. Whatever, not as if I'm hiding anything.
    I see little people.

I wonder if we have the same "new" inspector...

I've been begging the office to send someone over for years, I have yet to have a visit since I opened 7 yrs ago

Ugh, that's frustrating when you know more than the inspector. When my inspector came out for the initial visit, all she was concerned about was my dog - she stated she doesn't like dogs. And every other question she asked was geared towards the dog. I had to keep repeating he does not go into the daycare area. Her first note on my inspection report is that we have a very large dog.

She didn't mention the wetlands area in the report (even though I was specifically asking her what type of fencing did we need to put up around it), I was asking her about a smoke detector location and she didn't have an answer (told me the way she saw it was fine, but if someone else were to come out, they might cite me for it), and she told me I had no violations. However, when I received the report in the mail, there was a violation regarding our radon (which I knew would happen as the short term test failed, so the next step per the state is to do a year-long test). SMH.

Classic case of someone who has never cared for children being in charge. They obviously have no idea how disruptive it is to have a visitor.
