    Vent

We have a floor vent by our front door. My 1 year old dcb discovered is yesterday. I keep having to redirect her to something else. Is there a way to baby proof a vent? Thank you!

haha! I thought you were going to complain about something someone did, hence the vent... But, yes they make vent covers. They're like a metal magnet. Alternately, I just read online, use some sticky tac poster stuff and some fine mesh to keep her from putting her hands and stuff in it.

I guess I didn't think about that when I posted the subject. I'm sorry! I will look into the metal magnet! Thank you!

Can you screw the vent into the floor?

Can you move a piece of furniture over the top of it for a few weeks until she forgets about it, then move it back later?

yeah, that's what I had to do in my playroom, too. There's just a low table over it, so the air can still get out, but the babies forget it's under there.

Now, my furnace vent happens to come out in the play yard (can't be changed), so I had to zip-tie some wire screening over it. The hole was just too tempting for my toddlers!

I had to do that, too, after I found mine full of landscaping rocks!

When I had that problem at my old place I just put the changing table over it.
