    Jealousy Among The Ranks..

I have posted before about new dcb. So now two weeks later (really 7 days) I am seeing a HUGE difference in dcb who 21 months. He is crying/whining when he wants something, he is now peeing in his pants, throwing self on the floor when he is told he can't have something etc. I know a lot of this could be because he is entering the "terrible two's". But, it all coincided with the arrival of new dcb. 20 month old dcb was the youngest up till now and I am wondering if he is jealous.

What bothers me and his mother most is the bathroom issue. He will scream, kick and cry when its time to go the bathroom. I will sit him on the toilet and it escalates further. He won't pee and then 5 minutes later wets himself. I feel mentally wrecked at the end of the day and his mother is very frustrated by it as well. He has been p.t. since about mid July. I have been making a huge deal of when he does go and especially going without a fit.

Any tips on making 20 month old okay with his "spot" in the daycare?

I don't know about finding his spot, but perhaps at 21 months he's not quite ready for potty training? Maybe that's a contributing factor.

I do agree and expressed that to his parents. They seem to think he is. I told them that we would give it a try here. He did very well until new dcb started.
I still do think its too soon but, at same time when new dcb is absent he tells me every time he needs to go. IDk!

That's one of the problems with early potty training, it's much easier to have regression issues because they're really not mature enough (boys especially) to manage upset and pottying.

I have to agree with the others. 21 months is very young for potty training. Being truly potty trained means being able to stay trained even despite other normal challenges of the day... like having to share attention with a new daycare kid.
