Do you normally provide transportation to and from the bus stop for them?

Or do you just walk down to meet the bus each morning/afternoon?

Personally, unless you provide transportation (on foot or by vehicle) as part of your services, I let the parents worry about how their kids get to and from care.

If it is part of your services, then you will simply have to meet the bus when it arrives, rain or shine and have other the parents that arrive at that time, either wait or come earlier.

I get that issue too. So far I have been able to work with transportation to do pick up/drop off at my house. They have me listed as a business. But I have done trying to have dck's show before and after. I have also considered hiring a college student to take them......but so far I have been lucky with transportation

My niece and nephew are nore like it a takes a village to raise a family. They live with my mom and she does my transport after school and they ride the bus normally I just send them to the stop by themselves as they are 8 and 7 but it is extremely cold not just rain. It is like 35 degrees and they have to wait anywere between 5 to 15 minutes for the bus who is never in time. I cant have parents come different because of the never on time of the bus. I just feel bad leaving them out there to freeze and the bus depot wont puck up at my house even though they know I am a daycare and between my neighbors and I send 15 kids to th bus so a stop in front of my house makes sense instead of a block away.

Uh, I see...Well...I guess I would just make sure they have super warm outside gear on and make do. Winter is coming and they will have to learn to adjust so I suppose now is as good of time as any.

I'd feel bad too but you can't control the weather so just tell them to dress warmly the next few days.
