I've never really thought much about having to get a flu shot until my DH got diabetes and once I saw how easily the common cold could wipe him out and wreak havoc on his system, I get one faithfully every year now.

I am not worried about myself but I AM worried about my loved ones that count on the added protection of other's getting the flu shot.

I know many people feel there is no guarantee and they are probably right but I still choose to do what I can.
