It is Monday Right?

No one has showed up or called yet this morning... I open at 6, first kiddo should be here by 730, next 2 by 745. So far nothin!

Do you guys call or check in? Or just appreciate the silence?

I call or text after 30 min. I worry about a child left in a car or a wreck.

It is definitely Monday. It's been hitting the fan since 7:30 here...one.thing.after.the.next.

Anyway- I always call.

I text after 30 min. Most of my families are good about letting me know when plans change/they're running late. So for them not to be here or text is reason for concern w/my current families. Some previous families and 1 current family never tell me what's going on but I text anyways-or call if I'm feeling really annoyed.

Depends on the family. Sometimes I call and sometimes I dont. I open at 7a and normally have at least 3 kids here by 7:15. Today- no one until almost 8! One was sick, one overslept, one just running late.

I was happy for the free paid hour of silence!

I ask that parents call me if they are running late. I stress this in interviews. I am usually very busy during morning so I don't have time to chase people down. If someone was not here during a break in my day then I might call them to find out was is going on, make sure they are ok. I don't chase people but I am concerned if I don't hear from them. Ideally I would like to know the day before if they are not coming or going to be late- but that is not always a possibility because stuff happens-

In WI we are required to call everyone on their list until someone answers after 1 hour of no show. I think because of kids being left in cars. I'd say call.
