    Getting Too Old For This?

Does anyone else find themselves recuperating the whole weekend from the previous week? Maybe I'm just tired today, went to sleep late, woke up normal time. But it seems Friday night I 'deflate', Saturdays I run a few errands, some laundry and dishes and I'm ready for a nice long nap. 'Nuther words I'm 'good for nothing'.
Sundays are groceries. Somehow over the course of the weekend, I get my basic chores done while inside my brain, I'm kicking, screaming and digging my heels in the whole way.
There is so much I need to do, projects, decluttering, keeping connections with friends and family. I don't ever feel like doing any of it.

I have days like this more often than I'd like to admit. Some days, I find myself taking a nap at 7 PM! Luckily, I don't have kids of my own yet and my partner works until 11 pm, so I'm able to rest in the evenings. My Saturdays are usually filled with household chores and relaxing, and Sunday is the day for out of the house errands, seeing friends, date nights, etc. But yes, I am often way more exhausted than I think I should be.

Ditto. I go grocery shopping on Saturdays and today things just kept going wrong. Little things that aren't a big deal but I struggle to handle them.

I feel so drained on the weekends, it's ridiculous!

Me too. I just spent the entire morning farting around on the internet and watching TV. I have a ton of stuff I need to get done, a ton of stuff I want to get done, and yet, here I sit .

Just a couple of years ago I was always going strong. I need to figure out where that me went ::.

Yup! My quality of life was definitely lower towards the end of my daycare business. I couldn't keep up which is why we downsized big time in July and I closed. After 18 years of teaching and childcare I was just done. I don't know if I'll ever get back into it. Maybe in some capacity, but it's truly exhausting on very level.

I am 25 and feel like this. I think it is more of an occupation thing than an age thing. This job takes a lot and therefore takes a lot out of you. I try and be diligent with my time, and separate work tasks from personal time - but it doesn't always happen.

Yup. Although you get a lot more done than I do. Luckily hubby does the grocery shopping. It's just been the last couple of weeks that I've decided to not put anything on my to do list. That way when I don't get it done I don't feel so bad. Saturday and Sundays have been complete slug days for me for several months now. Seems I don't have the energy anymore to go go go 5 days a week with daycare and on weekends as well. I've also been at it for more than 24 years, so I'm guessing that has something to do with it as well.

Girl I thought it was just me. I am so wiped out by Friday I am useless all weekend besides just laundry & groceries. And I am only 42!

I agree, I don't think it's the age you are but more the number of years you've been burning the candle at both ends plus how high your personal tolerance of that pace of life is. Some people make it a year in this industry, some 30 years. It's an individual limit I think.

Me! I'm 60 and I'm worn out on weekends. I always have a weekend list was long as my arm. I never seem to get caught up anymore.
