How Do You Do Your Policy Change?

I'm making policy changes & was wondering how you advise the parents. Some sections have a one line change others are being rewritten. I am implementing additional charges for certain things. I am also going though & removing the word please which appears a quit a few times. (Parent seen to think it is optional when you are polite.)

Please let me know how you do it. Thanks!!!

Depending on how many changes my parents would get an update sheet with the changes- instead of printing the entire policy but if it dealt with changes through a good chunk they would get a new copy of the policies.
They would get a two week notice to the changes and I would have them sign a paper acknowledging they received the changes and are aware of the date they are effective.

I posted a notification on Check In Kids there will be a policy change & parents will have to sign an acknowledgement form after it is completed.

I email the parents explaining the new changes and attach a copy of the entire new contact to the email. I also have the parents sign a copy for their file, so I would also send home a whole new paper copy for them to sign and return.

I typically do new contracts every year - before the new school year.

I reprint the page that has changes and highlight the changes. They sign a copy and get a copy.

My parents here don't have computers or Internet. We live in the woods. I'm just extraordinarily lucky on that front.

So everything printable for e most part.
