Awesome DCM!!!

I had a dcm call me to ask if she and the kids could drop over-they had something for me. It was a Cricut-the large one!!! She overheard me say I wanted one once when we were at a scrapbooking event together. She said she found a deal she couldn't pass up and got it for me
I'm so excited to mess around with it! Like a kid at Christmas
So, for those of you that use a Cricut for daycare...tell me what you all do with it! I want to use it for everything I possibly canhappyface

I wish all DCM were all so generous. Truthfully though, not to diminish her gift, because its better than not having a cutter. But if you can return it or sell it, and use the money on a Silhoutte Cameo you will be much happier. With a cameo you are limited to cartridges only sold by Provo craft. With the other, the sky is the limit with the ability to cut virtually any image you want.

I hope I'm not overstepping but been there done that!

I wish we all had dcms like that! To answer your question, I have the Silhouette Cameo and I use it all the time. I make bulletin boards, lettering, theme related decorations, game pieces and craft activities for the kids. So much fun.

I love my cricut ... still packed away from moving though, so I haven't gotten around to using it in the daycare yet. I can just imagine the possibilities, though ..

wall decorations, craft pieces, bulletin boards, calendar pieces, matching games, counting games, abc games ...

I would feel weird but she said she got a REALLY good deal she couldn't pass up. We have an outlet here where they sell returns/etc so maybe it's even from there?

Either way...I'm thrilled and thankful I have such great daycare families

I am addicted to my cricut!

I use it for bulletin boards, crafts, cards etc.... I make vinyl wall clings, window clings, bin labels, gift tags and all sorts of fun stuff!

The cricut website has a TON of ideas for multiple use!

I have several cartridges.....Tax deductible if you buy/use them for daycare
You can pick them up fairly cheap on Craig's List, E-bay and even Menards!

BE WARNED: If you do decide to go to the web-site, you WILL be stuck there for a while checking out the craft room and project ideas

This thread got me curious so I went looking to see if there was anything new since I last checked these out. The prices have really come down! I checked out CL and found a Cricut Expression for $75. Anybody have one? Would that be worth it? I see there's a newer model, but it didn't get very good reviews on the cricut website.

I looked at that Cameo, I just can't justify $300 .
