    New Baby.......

    I had a new baby to start on last week. She is 6 months old and is here for 4 hours a day. This baby screams LITERALLY 3 hours and 50 minutes a day, the other 10 minutes is the time she sleeps WYYD?????

    Cry!! ::
    I have had a really hard time with pt babies. If I don't have them long enough to establish a schedule it doesn't seem to work unless parents are willing to follow it at home.
    Do you think she was just scared? Did she eat?
    :hug: for both of you!!

      Does the dcb do that at home? In dc before you? 11 month old just started here yesterday and I am her first daycare. First day she did great, today not so much. A large part of the day she scram. Not like normal crying, blood curling screams like someone is hurting her. I called mom freaked out. She said yes she does this at home all the time....
      If mom and dad say its not normal behavior then dcb could be adjusting to the new environment. From what I have read it can take up to 3 weeks.

        I think that she may be scared. She eats very little when she is here.

          Personally I would give it a time limit- what ever YOU can deal with. You can either share it with the family or not.
          It's a lot of work to console a crying/scared infant. You have to be honest with yourself about you can and are willing to do and go from there

            Mom said she doesn't do that at home. This is her first time in daycare and no one else has cared for her besides the parents. She does not have a normal scream, she screams as if something is hurting her...IDK but it's driving me crazy!!
