    Does Anyone Watch Dexter?

I have to say, I hope he's paying his nanny a fortune for basically being a mom to his son! Every time I watch the show, I feel so bad for her! I swear she has no life outside of playing mommy!

Yes! It's my favorite show!! I completely agree that he has to be paying her big bucks to watch his child day and night! Obviously it's just a show but I think about it too!

I saw the first 2 or 3 seasons on Netflix (my roommates and I were addicted to it), then we didn't have Netflix for a few years and just got it back this year and its not on there anymore :-(; but I don't want to pay $30 per season to catch up.

When the show first made it's debut, I was sold! I tuned in weekly to watch, never missing an episode/season, however, the past two or three seasons seemed to lack the same polish that the earlier seasons had, and as with all things, the show has run it's course IMO. Excited to watch it's close/ending.

When I was a teen, I babysat all the time... three and four times a week was not unheard of, and I never grew tired of it. On weekends I took on overnight babysitting stints, which provided me with a much deeper understanding of what real mommy-hood was all about, so no... I have never viewed Jamie (the nanny), as being deprived or anything, just that she is a dedicated care provider to Harrison.

I like to think the nanny's role in the show lends itself as a good example to young girls watching, because lord knows society nowadays needs all the help it can get.

I always make comments to dh about that! He just rolls his eyes at me. Notice how cute she always looks though!

Did anyone else (aside from myself) watch the closing finale of Dexter last night?

I did! I am a little disappointed with how they ended it.

Me, too. I was expecting something far more dramatic... even chilling.

I wonder if they did it this way to leave the possibility to come back?

                          That's what I'm thinking.

I have been a Dexter fan for years, and was disappointed. The drama with Deb was so over the top! I don't want to spoil it for anyone that hasn't watched yet, but I agree they may have left it open for a possible come back.
