    Play Ideas?

The kids love taking the cushions and pillows off the couch and playing on them or building a fort. I let them-they LOVE it, and I grew up enjoying doing exactly the same. Thing is, my couch is nowhere near as durable as Mom's was.

Anyone have ideas about toys that could give them the same satisfaction they get from the pillows and cushions?

I have a bunch of those bean bag filled pillows. The kids love them as a sensory thing. I also have tons of fleece blankets. I let the kids use the little kid chairs and tables to make forts.

I also have pop up indoor tents and tunnels that they love.

You could also buy foam and cover them and use them as substitute sofa cushions. I bet they'd be easy to stack and store in a closet or corner.

I too LOVED building forts as a kid.

I bought a cute princess popup tent at a yard sale this summer. Last time it was used was when I allowed 2 dcks, a boy and a girl, 5-6 yos in it at the same time. The 5 yo came out and said "I just kissed B*****!. Popdown went the popup and I got rid of it.
I've had all kinds of popup tents and tunnels in the past and the kids have loved them; this was the first time they used them in that way. At least from what I know.
