In my area near Pittsburgh PA the rates vary a bit-- the math works out to about $32-54/day, and they give discounts for multiple kids and if full time. Home daycare can be anywhere from very cheap (unlicensed), but.normally about $25-40/ day. Infants are on the higher end of course since they require a 4:1 ratio of caretakers.- Flag

In my area, prices range from $50 per week () to $175 per week. I charge hourly, and it comes out to around $125 per week. I am higher than MOST providers in my area, but there are a few that are charging around $175. The ones that are charging $50, $60, $70 just scare me (quality of care/food). I WISH I could charge more, but probably 95% of my calls never set up an interview once they hear my rate (which is $15 per week more than the "average" in our area per the last state survey).

I charge $45/day for FT kids, $50/day for PT kids or drop-ins. I live in Northern CA near San Francisco. Nannies charge $20-25/hr and centers charge $60+ a day. There's one large daycare that does preschool as well and she charges $63/day!- Flag

I am in Onatrio (Whitby)
And charge $40/day
I never thought of charging P/T kids more but it only makes sense.
We should get in touch with all providers in our area and universally increase the prices especially those of us working for so little. COL is way up and daycare costs remains the same year after year. How can some making $20/ day afford to even feed and offer supplies gesh. Also our standards have increased, " I only want my kiddo to have organic, CD, natural toys" we'll I just paid $12 for 3L of milk so it only makes sense to increase due to COL- Flag

I charge 35/day ft 40/4 days 45/3 and 50/day for 1-2 days for ages 2+
125-175 is pretty standard for my area for licensed homes for all ages, but as I make the transition to 100% organic, I will be raising rates. There is a 100% organic, all cloth, all natural toys, etc, licensed home 20 minutes from me that charges $350/week no matter how many days you need.
Unlicensed I have seen advertising recently for $75/week ft any shift, up to licensed rates (which is NOT a problem if they are legally unlicensed)
Centers are $250+ now since there is some major competition going on at the moment.- Flag
