I have 5 days off! Unexpected though, DD got extremely sick last night (requiring a middle of the night ER trip) so I had to close today and all 4 of my DCFs decided to just take friday too. I'm closed Monday so thats 5 days with no DCKs, DD and I watched movies and napped all day (she was up til 4am throwing up with a 103-104.5 fever and then got woke up at 645am

Thankfully DD is keeping fluids down and her fever finally broke this evening so she's on the mend! Maybe we can enjoy the rest of our weekend! happyface

My ds started with a fever this evening, too! No vomiting but his temp has reached 103.5 as of a little while ago. Too late to notify parents and this is only my first week of dc. I guess I'll let them know in the morning and let them decide if they want the kids to stay. Off to a great start.

On your first week! Oh no! Its stressful enough without a sick child!

This was the first time I've ever closed for illness, in the past I just warn DCPs but leave it up to them to decide if they want to come or not. My DD's fever hit yesterday evening, literally right before pick up she went from acting a bit tired to lethargic with a 104 fever. I had her in a cold bath when all my parents picked up trying to get it down so everyone had a heads up last night and by 9pm I knew it was gonna be a long night (Tylenol wasn't getting it down & she couldn't keep any fluids down) so I called everyone. Thankfully they were understanding and actually awesome (one even brought me coffee today! ).

So ready!! It's going to be a crazy busy weekend, but this was our first full week of school so we are ready for the 3 day weekend.

ME!! Don't ask me how I got so lucky but I was supposed to have 3 kids today and they all made plans so I got a bonus day! 4 day weekend for me, so excited

Mine is a 4-day weekend! happyfacehappyface Our schools are all closed on the Tues after Labor Day for a teacher inservice day & b/c I follow a school schedule I am closed! My schedule was available 3 months ago & a few weeks ago one DCP asked "are you really closed on the Tues after Labor Day?!?!":: I am actually having outpatient surgery (DCP doesn't know that) that day so YES, I am closed!!

Me!!!!! I ahve it off and it's paid too! The only downside to this weekend is I have to take my 10 yo. dd school shopping. She is so hard to shop with and likes nothing but 1D stuff! Other than that, we are going to a lake and my Birthday is Sunday!
