I am still friends with the woman that took care of our son for 3 years. That was 12 almost 13 years ago that he was in care. I apologize to her all the time for how dumb I was. I remember asking her how she sterilized his bottles, stopped over for the first week to see him on my lunch. UGH. I was a pain!

To the original question, I have had that happen before and have just said oh I'm sure he'll/she'll be fine and left it at that.

Sometimes you just have to let coments roll off your back. I cringe at what I use to say to my daughters' DC provider.
This is what I would do totally!

My youngest was a premie so I held her all the time. She would only co-sleep and I HAD to hold her hand. She was about 8 months when I started her in care. I told her provider that she (the provider) would have to lay down with her and hold her hand to get her to nap. she look at me like I was crazy and shock her head and laugh (she was a friend). Im not sure if my DD ever napped for her but Maddy was all ways happy at pick up. Yes this was my youngest with a 7 year gap between my 2nd and her so I can't claim first time mom.

That drives me batty. Last week. Parent said dcb was up until 2:30 am (they let him stay up as late as he wants) and since they didn't work let him sleep in until 10:30 and dropped off at 11 am. Of course he didn't nap and kept all the other kids awake. It was very frustrating.
