    Picture Day for FCC

Does any one else do a picture day for their FCC kids? I was considering doing it myself instead of hiring someone. Maybe setting up a chair and getting a chalk board to write the age of child and their name with the date. Any ideas? Backdrops? How would you set it up? I have all kids under 3 years old besides my one 13yo special needs who has severe CP and functions on the level of a 3 mo old. I just thought it would be a fun experience for them after we start our back to school theme and get back into letter of the week. Tips?
Edit:: Also hoping for this to be a parent pleaser. A little keepsake for their time here before the preschool and kindergarten pics.

I started doing that a few years ago. Parents LOVE IT. We do it twice a year, like the local schools.

I do a group picture and individual and out them both in a cd for each parent . We do outdoor pictures, so no backdrops are needed.

We have done pictures for 4 years now. We do them in the fall & spring. A DCM has a BFF who is a professional photographer, and does individuals and a group picture for us.

She doesn't charge us anything, and instead sends home picture packets like elementary schools do, and the parents order from those. My main incentive is getting the nice group shot every year.

As far as props, every fall we use hay bales and pumpkins, and those pictures are my favorite.

In the spring she brings bright colored chairs and a white stool. Which all look great. For babies, we lay them in a tin bucket with a blanket in it or on a blanket on the ground.

All kids under 3? Well first you buy the biggest roll of duct tape you can find so they'll all stay in one place.... I love the idea but every time I've tried snapping group photos, someone has always run out of the picture just as I say cheese and snap. Actually last summer I was able to get a pic of all 10 kids sitting on my 8-in-1 outside and it made such a great group photo that I made it into t-shirts for all the kids.

I'll bet your parents would love pictures like that! And I love Blandino's idea using the fall props!

I don't do a formal pic. I take pics of the kids all the time. Every so often, I'll print some of them up for the parents.

We just made photo album/scrapbooks of our summer adventures. Each child had about 25 pics for their book.
