I have a list of 4 local providers who I know, and I give those out as referrals. People seem to really appreciate that. And it helps my provider friends fill their openings.

I always call back. I answer general questions and give advice about what they should look for.

I also do this for one friend who is a member of this board. She does the same for me. In fact, I started a child two weeks ago that was a referral.

It's funny you say that, because Patches is on my list .

I'd always call back. It's more professional to do that. We have a waiting list just in case a vacancy is created.

I always call back and ask if they would like to be notified when I have an opening.

I don't interview when I am full. I am blessed to seldom have openings. Interviewing would end up being several evenings a week instead of relaxing with my family.
