    Going to School

I have been doing In home Daycare for 7 years now. My 5 year old daughter just started Kindergarden yesterday. It's the first time that I have actually been away from her for a long period of time. The last 2 days all I have been able to do is cry because I miss her so much. Thankfully I only have 1 daycare kid, so that makes it easier. I completely understand how parents feel now when they drop off their children!

my daughter headed off to kinder this week and I havent cried at all or even been upset. that said, i know a lot of moms who are! there was at least a half dozen crying at the school when I dropped off and there is only two classes for kinder. i am sure it will get better as time goes by! hang in there.

Same here. I was so excited for him. Yes, I miss him. But he's having such a great time I can't be sad.

I didn't really cry or get upset either. A little nostalgic, but not upset. I figure no reason to upset my kids and I wanted them to really enjoy school and TBH I wanted to enjoy some time without all the kids all the time. Once the last 2 started school, I have gotten a lot more things done because it's never the DCK's that are being pests, it's usually my own! Then when I closed, I enjoyed some months off with no kids during the week and I enjoyed them more on the weekends.
