There is a HUGE difference in one provider, in their HOME and a CENTER whom has a receptionist, director, owner AND security to filter through before coming into contact with other peoples children.

Come on.. this is a simple concept to grasp. ::::::

Yes, but you know as well as I do that the simpler something is the more complicated others make it.

This reminds me of a phone call I received this past Tuesday. Lady calls and asks if I have an opening for a 15 month old boy. I tell her yes and she asks nothing else and says that she'll stop over either that day or the next. I stop her and say ahhhhh no, you will need an appt. I don't do interviews during daycare hours. So I scheduled her appointment for tonight at 5:30. She got my name off the gov't site. I haven't had an interview with someone that got my name off that site in I can't remember when. I do get calls from it, but I've always been full at that precise time. Most all times my families are from referrals. I'm really expecting that this lady doesn't show up. Her accent was so strong that I could barely understand her as well. What is a customary time to wait for an interview before you guys split?

10-15 minutes after scheduled interview time. If they weren't there by 5:45 there would be no interview. I have stuff to do and I don't have a lot of time to do it in.

I had someone show up today to talk about daycare...During LUNCH! No call, text, nothing just rang the bell. How in the heck was I suppose to remember what all I wanted to tell her during that time. Lunch with twin 3 yr olds, a 4 yr old and an 19 month old can get kind of hairy. And add a stranger in and gets crazy! Totally threw me for a loop. Needless, to say she got to see me in action with chaos and she walked away with no paper work and I told her she could come back and get it later. I do know who she is, that would be the only reason she was allowed in.

Just as I figured, she was a no-show. I knew it the moment I got off the phone with her 2 days ago. Just had a feeling.
