    The Ceiling Fan...OT

We have a log home with a ceiling fan. Our braniac builder thought putting a ceiling fan 30 feet in the air was a brilliant idea. We've lived here 7 years, and I have yet to figure out how to clean it. I've tried all sorts of things short of renting scaffolding.

Then, I had an epiphany just now. Make it a project for my 12 year old son to figure out. I offered him $10 to solve the problem.

He has duct taped together a collection of broom and dusters, and as I'm sitting her, half of 7 year's dust is gone!

I really need to do this sort of thing more often...:: Why do I think I have to figure it all out?

AWESOME IDEA!! Just as we always say, attach money to dcp and it changes all sorts of things

Attach money to a tween or teenager... It's amazing what they come up with isn't it?? Lol

We call him McGyver anyway. You're probably too young to understand the reference, though.

        I LOVED McGyver!!!

I feel your pain as we have a two story foyer in our home. When we bought the house (first owners) we thought the foyer added some "WOW" factor. Almost 10 years later I think yeah, "WOW, look at the dust!" or "WOW, those windows are dirty!" or "WOW, my master bedroom could have been so much larger!" There's our "wow" factor!!!!::::

I am 30ish and understand it!

My dh didn't understand my NEED to rid our house of ceiling fans until he tried to clean one. We don't have anymore.
