DCB boy said his feet were cold so I gave him a pair of socks to wear. He asked if he could have them cause he didn't have any socks at home. The boy never comes with socks even in the winter. He also wears his older brothers hand me downs. DCM has a now iPhone though.

I have one little girl that comes in the morning in little skimpy sundresses with thin straps that don't want to stay up on her shoulders and keep falling down and exposing her bare chest and I have tried pinning the straps in the back to stay up, but that doesn't work well. It could be in the upper 40's or low 50's and she comes like that in the mornings,no sweater or shirt underneath the sundress. The poor girl has to be cold, but Mom doesn't seem to care if she is. I have a few extra clothes here for kids that I will put on them if I think they need them.
Then I have had another little girl that would come barefoot in the morning, all because she gave her Mom a hard time about putting shoes on before they left or the excuse was she had to rush out the door and forgot to put her shoes on! This happened quite a bit and I finally asked for Mom to bring a extra pair of shoes here for her so that I had something to put on her feet.
I sometimes wonder what has happened to using common sense when dressing their children. Is it "Oh this outfit is so cute and I'll have my child wear this and not consider the weather or is it that they are just in so much of a rush in the morning that they grab the first thing out of the drawer and put on their child.
And parents wonder why their child gets so many colds......if they would dress them accordingly for the weather, they might not get so many colds......DAH!
This is one of my pet peeves. I could go on, but I don't want to bore anyone with more of my pet peeves.
