I have 2 spots open in my daycare (0-3yr olds only)......
One family called and they have a 5 week old and a 2 year old, wanting full time.
Another family called wanting 3 days a week for a 1 year old and a 3 year old (3yr old will go to a separate building for preschoolers).
Which family would you take? A 5 week old would take a lot of time and attention. Plus my newborn will be there soon. He's only a week old right now and I'm going to try and keep him with me at my Preschool for as long as I can without hindering my teaching. If anything, he'll stay with me until he's 4 weeks old bc I'll start teaching my curriculum in September. So I don't know if I want to put the burden of 2 babies on my workers and my mom (who is the co-owner with me). But that's 2 full time kids and makes us full which would be nice. However, I could use another preschooler but with the 3yr old being part time she'd miss some of the lessons. Plus we'd make less money.
Any advice?
