    Help with Ad for Employees

What's a nice way to word it that they cannot bring their children to daycare for free!

Ive gotten a few great responses from my ad but most are moms asking to bring their kids for free. I am at capacity, I can't add more kids!

Should i put something in the ad about it?

I've let 3 assistants bring kids. 1 were school aged and were only here about an hour and were great! The other 2 were sassy and difficult!

I would not say anything about it in the add, I would just tell them that you cannot allow children to attend the daycare.

        1. its way to difficult and you need someone who can help you when you need them
        2. your insurance does not cover them
        3. they take a spot in your capacity
        4. in past experience when you have allowed for it, it did not work out.

SO no, you can't bring your child......

          My ad reads:

Hiring for late afternoon (2:30-7:30) part-time employee; may lead to full-time 2nd shift position. Employee will assist the children in tools for life & teaching basic colors, numbers, etc. Must be over 21, ethical with a good moral compass. Position requires background check & finger printing by the state. Unfortunately this is NOT a babysitting job where you can take your child to work situation. Please email inquires and/or complete Word Doc or PDF resume & references to XXXX@XXX.com. Compensation based on experienced & area rates for child care.Thank you.

Could you add something like, "Due to capacity regulations, I cannot allow for your child to come along with you"... ? It's not the greatest wording, I haven't had my coffee yet ... haha.

As a side note, I still get people with children. I ask, "Are you looking for employment or child care?" If they say both, I quote my child care rate.

I wrote a five part series on staff assistants. This one talks about staff assistants kids.

Sorry, your search did not find any daycare or childcare listings. Please search again with your zip code instead.

Thanks nannyde. I have read it and Appreciate it.

I was not looking to start a debate of whether or not I should allow employees to bring their children. I am actually at capacity, so that is not even an option. I was more looking for a nice way to put it on my ad so I didn't have to keep saying 'no, you can't bring your child with you to work'.

                  Thank you to everyone!

                    I'd simply write ...

"No child care discounts are given to employees at this time. All employees pay the regular rate as non-employee clients."
"Enrollment is currently full at the moment and we are not enrolling new children. We do not expect an opening until XX/XX/XX." and call it a day

The problem with saying you don't have a spot is that if they start working for you as soon as a kid leaves they will want their kid to take that slot.

I would say something like “we don't provide child care services for employees children"

I once had a lady emailing with me about a staff assistant job and she informed me that she would be bringing her three year old son. I emailed her back and said AGAIN (it was in the ad) that I do not offer child care to employees children.

She writes back and said she WILL be bringing her son to work and when can she set up an interview.

                          Lmao

                          Yeah good luck with that.

The staff assistant mindset is "what a great job where I can work and get paid and not have to pay daycare". They don't realize that their kid isn't free. If I paid an employee eight bucks an hour I would be giving her another four dollars per hour in child care. That would make her a twelve dollar an hour assistant.

In my 20 years of having a helper I have only had one that made it to that salary and she was with me for 7 years. I could only have 7 kids plus the helper kid. The helper takes two kids income so that leaves me with five. I don't need a helper with five kids. I'm better off to run five kids and no helper.

The only way that would work here would be to allow a free staff assistant school ager during the school year but I don't take school agers. There is just no math to make it work.

In my State you can't receive state assistance as a home day care employee unless your kid goes to another day care. You can work at a center and have your kid there but not a home day care.
