Hello and WELCOME! Menus, I just have a list of the top 10 foods the dc kids will eat and go from there. Too expensive to buy and take time to fix homecooked meals only to have them end up in the trash or squished all over their plates.- Flag

I have such a hard time with snacks, mainly afternoon snack. They don't eat alot but I feel like I'm serving the same stuff. And we know what the food program says "Variety is the spice of life":

Off the top of my head......
Pancakes
Sausage
Applesauce
Peaches
Hot dogs
Mac and cheese
Cheesy potatoes
Cereal
Toast
Scrambled eggs
Peanut butter sandwich
Oatmeal
Waffles
Apples
Mandarin oranges
Grilled cheese
I'm sure there are a few more, and this is more than 10.
I just simply got tired of making food and 2 or 3 won't eat it. So I have simplified my life and removed the stress and just feed the things I know all will eat.- Flag

I hear ya! I have two super picky eaters. One will NOT try anything new. So I pretty much serve things I know everyone will eat. I do not do the food program (I only watch 3). In my house, the top meals are:
Breakfast:
Scrambled Eggs
Mini Pancakes
Waffles
Cereal
Lunch:
MacNChz
PB&J
Taquitos
Fish Sticks
Chicken Nuggets
Quesadillas
Snack:
Yogurt
Crackers
Grapes
Apples
Bananas
Graham crackers w/PB
String cheese
My favorite thing to make before I got my picky eaters was pizza bagels. Make or buy some pizza sauce, let them spread it over the bagels & top with their favorite shredded cheese and toppings. Bake for about 15 minutes at 375 until the cheese is melted and golden brown. Super easy, they can make it themselves, and they LOVE it! Well, all except my picky eaters, of course.- Flag

This came from my Food Program Sponsor's website: http://www.acdkids.org/sites/default...menusample.pdf
You may be able to look for back issues of their newsletter, too. It's called Potpouri.- Flag

Go to the Provider's Choice Inc. website. It is my food program web-site, but they have an awesome section for parents that gives you food ideas and pre-planned menus that meet all the nutritional food guidlines. Here is the link: http://www.providerschoice.com/pages/parents/index.asp
Just go to The Parent Place from the list on left of page, scroll down to the area where it says Foods Kids Like and click on meal plans. You will find sample menus there with pre-written shopping lists available too!- Flag
