We just brought home a new kitten. The little bugger has completely disappeared! We have looked in every nook and cranny of this house, and he is no where to be found! He has only been here for three hours. Where on earth could he be?!? We haven't had a kitten in a while, so I am not sure if I should be freaking out? Argh!

He'll come out when he's hungry from wherever he is hiding!
They hide in the weirdest places. If you have any recliners, check under there before you recline or rock in it!- Flag

I have an adult cat that we lose inside our house all the time. We freak out, check every room, cabinets, closets,...he's nowhere. A few minutes later he will come wandering into the room from wherever he has been. I have no clue where he goes.
I would just keep looking and I'm sure your kitty will appear. If you are sure it didn't get outside, just give it some time. The oddest place we have found ours was behind the dryer.- Flag

We found him! He climbed into the bathroom vanity drawer!
He is very sweet, and has been named Zac Black (he is, obviously, black...and we are big Zac Brown Band fans around here).
Thanks!- Flag

When we brought home one of our cats, he ran downstairs immediately. We went to go find him and nothing-for 2 weeks. We knew he was fine because he was coming out to eat and use the litter box. After 2 weeks, we were down doing somethings in the living room and he fell from the ceiling:
:. Apparently he found somewhere to crawl up in the false ceiling and had been hanging out. Never hid again

I was gonna say check the oven first...my cat hid in there on her first day in my new house...boy was she lucky I looked there before I turned it on. She also once ripped a hole in my box spring mattress and slept in there until I got rid of it...- Flag

My cats do that. My orange cat hides under the bed and up in my box spring every time my cousin's son is here and she won't come out until about 10 minutes after he leaves. And the other day my white cat chased my black cat until she hid under my bed.
Cats are so sneaky:
My front door has a screen and regular door. Once my roommates accidently closed the regular door and our littlest cat and she was stuck in-between the front door and the screen(luckly there is a space between it and it was a mesh style the gate)! I kept hearing her meow when I was upstairs but I thought it was because she was in heat. Luckily I went down there and heard it coming from the front door. Poor kitty's voice was hoarse the rest of the day
(We think she was in there for about 20-30 minutes)
A few years ago, I didn't see my cat go into the closet and accidently trapper her in there. We went to my cousin's birthday party and came back about 7 hours later and heard meowing from the closet by the front door when we came in, she was okay but I felt so bad! A few times she hid under the sink when we opened it, but luckily we caught it right after (not that it would be hard for her to open).
