Could Be My Best Moment Of Daycare Thus Far

My incredibly sweet and adorable, not to mention smart, DCG who is 17 months has just transitioned to a mat. She is not the biggest sleeper, and is rocked to sleep at home, so she used to struggle going to sleep until she got used to her pnp, and now on the mat it is a little bit of a struggle again - it usually takes her a little longer to fall asleep. So she is laying there talking to herself, being so so so cute, and it's taking everything I have to not pick her up and hold her (but don't since I want her to get used to putting herself to sleep). So I sit down next to her and rub her back. She gives me the biggest smile, and when I stop she says "tat funny" which is her newest catchphrase - which she uses correctly.

I took it to mean, that makes me happy or I like that. It was the sweetest little moment.

So cute! Those moments make it worth it!

Last week had a DCG (3.5) tell me "I heart you Lyss, your house is the best place to nap ever because its fun to wake up and play fun stuff" lovethis

A dcb with speech delay finally learned to say my name this week. It was in a full sentence, too! "I luh ooh ****!" I teared up!
