Screaming 2.5 Year Old

I have a DCB who is 2.5, and has been here since birth. Around 17/18 months he began to throw screaming fits. We used the "calm down corner" method, which worked and still does. But what I am wanting to resolve is the hysterical screaming.

He is much older now, has a good vocabular and speaks in sentences. The minute something doesn't go his way, he screams. I want to avoid that behavior all together. I try telling him to use his words, but that only semi-helps.

Any strategies, ladies ?

My 19 month old dcb does this. I always ask him if we scream at our friends, he answers no, then we go to the "stop and think seat". He sits for 2 minutes. Some days are better then others. Thankfully his parents are awesome and are also helping be on top of this at home. I have no suggestions except keep on doing what you are doing.
