Sometimes mine sleeps with the other kids, sometimes his room. Which is upstairs. But, licensing can bite me. That's his room and he can go there if he wants to.

My dd (2 1/2) sleeps in her room, which is on our main level, and the daycare kids are on the lower level. I have thought about trying her in the napping room, but she naps really well in her room, so I don't really want to mess with it.

I'm going to say it's because your own child is considered more of a dc child while you are working as far as supervision and whatnot. I know as far as my regs, I have to be on the same floor as all my dck's. I am able to nap my ds in his own room as it's right next to the dc nap room.

Two things: I would have her sleep in her own bed. And I would wait as long as possible to switch her to a bed!

My daughter is 2 now. I opened my daycare after having her so from the very start she has slept in the daycare room with the other kids. My set up is a little different because my actual house is not part of my daycare. We turned our garage into one big room with it's own bathroom, and kitchenette. She is on a sleep mat now and is usually the first one asleep.

My daughter was only 1 when I started doing daycare in my home. She has always slept in her own bed at nap. That was always something I actually wanted her to be able to do. The daycare kids sleep in the family/play room on mats. I also try and make sure she has HER own toys and books. I don't want my career choice to be forced on her. She has no problem sharing or anything just a me and my husband thing.
