That's what bothers me the most.

Everybody is saying "at least he isn't running around..."

When mothers will support the idea of bringing a child to a restaurant in his crib to avoid having to parent or, horror of horrors, take time away from the adults want to do....its a very scary day.

                exactly!!!

lets not parent, lets just keep them in a cage..................how will this child ever learn to sit down at a restaurant?? Or to learn to behave if no one is going to make them??

                I don't get today's parents....or the Hipster's so they call themselves???????

It's kind of funny to see, but I don't think they're bad parents for doing it. They wanted to go out to eat and keep their kid entertained while they did. They likely lived right down the street. Perhaps the kid was safer this way, too, as they were outdoors. If it works for them, then kudos for making it work out.

As daycare providers and moms, I'm sure that we all have improvised ways of keeping kids content that would make others stare (rocking one baby on your lap while keeping a bouncy chair going with your foot, putting on makeup with one foot on the toilet lid to keep the kids out, and on and on).

                    They don't own a stroller?
I find it odd but not illegal or dangerous, unless of course they knock everyone down.
Could be they just wanted their 15 minutes of fame?
