    Told Ya So

Dcm doesn't make dck go potty when she gets up bc dck "doesn't want to." 1/2 the time dck is fine, the other 1/2 she pees on my floor literally a minute after mom leaves. I've been making mom take dck potty here before dcm leaves bc I was sick of it. Mom always has a reason why she "can't take her today" but I just tell her she can't leave until dck goes potty.

So this week supposedly dck has been going potty at home before she comes. Que peeing on my floor again. I got into it w/dcm yesterday and flat out told her to either quit lying to me or get out of my daycare (yeah, not my best moment.)

Today dck pees aaaaaaaaaaallllllllllllll over her carseat on the way to my house, it soaked the back seat on that side, AND bc dcm insists on carrying her 3 yo "baby" from the car to my house, mom got her DRY CLEAN ONLY outfit soaked - meaning she had to go home, change, and ended up being late for work.

I didn't say "I told you so" but boy I thought it! I managed to keep a straight and sympathetic face - until dcm left.

Well natural consequences are the best teachers for children and apparently for parents as well! ::

Maybe now after having to clean up the mess the mom will learn to put her foot down and insist her daughter go to the bathroom before they leave.

I personally have a 2 accident per week/kid goes back in pull ups policy. So after the second pee accident I would have met the mom at the door with a pull up

I hope this is the last time you have to deal with this!!!

So ... She can't take her potty but she's willing to pick her up when wet and covered with pee-pee?? Lol. If it helps I always just tell my clients that I am willing to support their efforts that they make while at home but only if they are successful at it. If DCM doesn't want to ... Oops, I meant can't... Take DCG to potty in the morning at home then I'd require her to come to DC in a diaper or pull-up because suddenly I can't either and DCG doesn't want to go potty in the bathroom here either. ;-)

Tell mom that kid is having accidents, and that she must go back to pullups until it stops. Check kid for pull ups on Monday. No pull up, back out the door. Problem solved.

Mom said she "didn't notice" dck peed herself until after she picked her up. Hopefully mom has learned. What's reeeeeeeally funny is mom only gets a 30 min lunch break and has no choice but to park her car in the full sun parking lot. I'm liking this a littlle bit *to* much. I can't imagine having to drive home w/that smell after being in the closed up sun shined on car all day. She works in an area where you can't leave your windows down w/o somthing being stolen.

ha! I am sorry but I can't help laughing on the karma on this one. my word, if you are too busy to give your child the opportunity to go potty, you are just too busy. i would imagine that she is "forgetting" a lot more with this little one. pottying is a basic need.

They live 5 houses down so mom will most likely drive home then walk down here to pick up the kids.
