That is one of the main reasons why I get so annoyed about people being late and not letting me know!!!
They just don't realize!!
Hope they show soon and it is a super quick drop off!!!
This happened to me 2 days ago. There was supposed to be an early pickup because one of my kids is special needs and has a j&g tube and it started coming out. She was supposed to come around 3-3:30 and didn't come until 4:45. I was doing the potty dance for almost 2 hours!!
The dcm I was waiting for texted at 8:30 that she would bring the kids at 9:00. Great! Just sat down to do my job at 8:45ish when I saw the text, and in walks the trio (mom and 2 kids).Me, shouting sheepishly from the bathroom "I'll be out in a minute!" Hoo, boy!

Hey we have something in common!! I have a tube feeder too!! But hers has only come out a few times while here, usually when she's grown and the doc should have replaced wi bigger and didn't.
I can out those things back in with my eyes closed .
be careful, I got a a really bad UTI last year because I kept holding it for la really long time....
That part about our job does stink...... I was so embarrassed when the doc said to me "are you waiting long periods of time to use the bathroom??"" Um yeah.....
So now I just go. My front door is always locked no matter what, so I just go when I need to and the parents wait..........
Through the years I have learned how to speed pee and well, you know, do the other. If a parent comes (luckily that hasn't happened yet) I would just have to tell them I would be right there. Yes it would be embarrassing, but sometimes you just gotta go! ::
I don't wait. I put a note on the door saying "I'm in the washroom, please wait". The drawback of this method is that sometimes I forget to take the note off the door when I'm done .
LOL so true! I time my ever increasing potty breaks around when children are arriving (most of mine come within a 30 minute span, with one coming 1.5 hours later) and it is HARD. Sometimes my bladder is about to explode and it causes me to have contractions. I am about to give up caring if they come in when I have to potty.

This was the first time it had come out since she's been here. Well, it comes out ALL the time at home, but it was my first experience with it. Shes been really backed up lately and i guess the pressure in her tummy just popped it out when I lifted her legs for her change. I was fine putting it back in but the bubble was still expanded and was way bigger than the hole. Dcm had to deflate it when they got home. Shes at the GI specialist getting it changed out tomorrow. How old is your tube feeder? Is it just the J tube?
I have this one particular set of parents who show up at different later times then everyone else . I swear they have radar because every time I am running to the bathroom when they are pulling up in front of my house... So true! Glad someone else knows this frustration.
