How Many Hours Does It Take To Get All Your Renewal/License Paperwork In?

    Including required training hours?

    I have:
    8 hours mandatory training.
5 hours CPR and First Aid
2 hours state required Safe Sleep Course
Umpteen hours printing forms, filling out paperwork, getting things notarized, getting shots, doing fire drills. It just keeps turning into a bigger and bigger deal every year. I almost feel like I need a week off just to be able to take care of all of the paperwork.

5 people live in my house plus my assistant so we had to make 5 trips to get stuff notarized. It's like they forget we are trying to watch kids!

I am required to have 10 hours of annual training. I usually get that through whatever college course I am taking at the time so it ends up being way more than 10 hours.

CPR/First Aid are only every 2 years.

Background checks are only every 3 years and only require fingerprinting the first time. After that it is just a form to fill out.

Other than that, the only other thing is the licensing visit and that usually takes about 3 hours and is unannounced during business hours.

Of course there is also all of the required ongoing paperwork - fire drills/logs, attendance records, updated shot records, food program stuff, lesson plans, menus, newsletters, and more.

About 5 minutes... I log in and pay my "convienience fee" of $50 and print my certs.

I get visits every 3 months and she does all the busy stuff....
      - Unless otherwise stated, all my posts are personal opinion and worth what you paid for them.
