    Cultural Competence Plan

Does anyone have a written cultural competence plan that they can share or have any suggestions of what to include in one? I am working on the Stars program and need to write a plan. I am trying to write one, but I just can't think of the right words to use and am just stuck!

-Dolls in the block area that represent people of different ages, abilities, genders, and ethnicities.
-Posters, pictures, and books that show people of different ages, abilities, genders, ethnicities, and non-traditional roles and families.
-Providing books and blocks that represent the similarities and differences in the world. This could be books about different kinds of birds, or even photos of shapes and colors. For example, two squares are still both squares, even if one is a blue square and one is a red square. (Hey, now THAT"S thinking out of the box!:
-Serving foods that represent different cultures, including the cultures of the children in your group.
-Inviting families to share recipes to create a class cookbook.
-A statement in your policy manual that you do not discriminate on the basis of...xxx
