Day 1.
Mom drops off, stays for 25 minutes and had to be shooed out the door as dcg is FINE and didn't flinch, ran off to play. Mom says check is in the bag. I don't check until nap. NO CHECK. I text Mom. "Oh I forgot it, I will have dcd take out cash and pay you at pick up."
Pick up time comes and goes. I text DCD, no response. I text dcm and she says he will be there any minute, he got out (names time that was well over an hour ago, works 10 min away!) Picks up 25 minutes later. 2 minutes past closing.
DCD shows and has NO IDEA he is supposed to pay me. They got a HEFTY invoice because of late fees.
I don't think I will ever see them again.
I feel like such a rookie! Check in hand before they leave!
