Thrush

Anyone know of any alternative methods (besides antibiotics) for treating thrush?

I have a newbie here who has it and mom is not wanting to do antibiotics (due to child's young age) so I was curious if there were any alternatives that may be effective/helpful.

milk of magnesia is what one of my parents used. Swab it around mouth

Oh, that is awful.

I'd wonder if they did boil/disinfect all toys/pacifiers/bottle nipples etc. to prevent re-infection? :confused:

Newborn...totally breast fed, so no toys or bottles or pacifier.....maybe passed between mom and baby???

Although no longer popular for various reasons, my vote always goes to gentian violet.

Works phenomenally well.

, along with yogurt on diaper area. Stains everything though, watch out.
