    A (Good) Problem!

So I got burned again (though not purposely) by holding a spot for my SIL. Anyways, I started advertising for a FT spot last Friday. I have 5 interviews this week, 2 of which were this evening already.
First family has a 4 month old and is looking to start care on the 29th. I told them I have more interviews and will be contacting those that are interested this weekend. An hour and a half after the interview, I get an email saying they really enjoyed meeting me and my family and could come by TOMORROW with the holding fee!! Normally I would be ecstatic and might have taken them now. HOWEVER, I have 1 family looking to leave Goddard and bring in their 11 month old FT and an older boy 2 days a week (I have 1 PT spot T-TH and absolutely love both the DCG and her mom, so I will not get rid of them for a FT family even though I could use the money). So this family could fill my 1 FT spot as well as close out the PT spot I have now, leaving me with all 3 spots being filled FT. I am license exempt so that's all I can take on.
Anyway, I again told them that I have other interviews and would get back to them this weekend. I really liked the family, but hopefully I might really like this other family as well. And tomorrow I have an interview for a family where the DCM is a substitute teacher and could at lease cover the 2 open days occasionally. But I'd rather have someone take those days on a permanent spot.
Wish me luck, I have had this spot open for the better part of a year due to holding spots for 2 separate families (made an exception for my SIL, but her job changed to varying days so she had to go to a center) and I would LOVE to quit my PT job at the restaurant, or at least cut down to just 1 night a week! happyface

I'm glad to be in a situation where I know I will have 1 FTer, but I hate to have to turn down people, especially if I hit it off with them and they tell me how hard it has been to find a good DC and how much they liked mine. But an extra $60 a week to fill out the PT spot I have is hard to give up!

That's a GREAT situation to be in!

Keep in mind that the extra $60 will only be good if you love the other family as much as the other one!
