It's been over a month since AM snack was taken out and it's been wonderful! I remind the children at breakfast to fill up because we won't have anything else until lunch and they are fine. We take a mid morning water break but that's it.
Love it! If I do get a young toddler that really needs something I might offer a cup of milk (rather than water) because that can easily be changed over as they get older.

We got rid of it a while ago as well. We do breakfast at 8:00 and lunch at 12:00. It took way too much time out of our routine (between washing up, eating, and then washing again). I make sure my breakfast is something filling like pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, french toast, etc so that they can make it to lunch.

I have thought of cutting it out too - but we do breakfast at 8am and lunch at noon so I'm afraid its too big a space between but maybe if I moved breakfast to 8:30 (most come in at 7:30-8)???

I do breakfast at 8, but I make it to be filling - oatmeal pancakes, French toast, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, etc. And we usually are eating at 11:45/12:00ish this summer (I have bigger kids - 3 and up). They are hungry for lunch, but they are not whiney or miserable in between. I would pick a day and preset them "eat up everyone, we will be too busy for a morning snack today so we won't be eating again until lunch!" (I use my best cheerful but no nonsense voice ) See how it goes to see if it's sustainable for your program. After a couple of days, make your decision
