Those Who Are Open M-Th

I know some you are open M-Th......this is my goal! It may enable me to stay in the game!

Since I have only been open a little over six months I don't feel I can do it right now, as I have just filled all my spots.

Can you give me any tips on the transition?

Right now the families I have may not all have back up for Friday...random days here & there, yes....every Friday, maybe not so much.

For me it was easy as I only had one DCB who came Fridays, but some weeks I'd get a text saying he wasn't coming because GMA and GPA were going to watch him.
I decided in Jan. for my sanity I wanted to be closed Fridays. I only watch 3 DCK and they are all part time anyway.
It might be harder for some to do because of parents potentially leaving or your personal finances.

If I were open all 5 days I might lose my mind ! I was worried parents who wanted flexibility might leave over the one day closed but they all understood.

I wish you the best. Perhaps hold off and maybe Jan. 2014 make the switch, inform parents in the Fall and then everyone has time to adjust and figure it out.

I started doing it at the beginning of summer (about 10 years ago.) I think it is easy for people to get a high school or college girl in on Fridays in the summer. I actually only do it in the summer but once you take on new clients who know this it is pretty easy.
