I can second you guys in most of these areas.
My sense if humor is definitely not traditional. And definitely very innapropriate at times.
I am also not religious, and being in the Bible belt, I think people would view that differently if they knew. By no means do I hide it, I just don't think a lot of parents know.
I would think my biggest thing parents don't know about me, is that I have a pretty bad potty mouth while my working. Also, I listen to not the cleanest music in the world, and I do enjoy a good drink.
I think that some of that goes against the stereotypical idea of wholesomeness. But I also think that the parents who know me better, also really like those things about me.Comment

I knew I liked you!That I have a "young" mentality out of daycare and a dry/dirty sense of humor. It took my mom a while to get used to my sense of humor (mine and my DH's) after she moved in. Here's are some common conversations in my household when the DCK's are gone and our kids are in their rooms:
DH: Our kids are awesome.
ME: Of course they are. They came out of my vagina and my vagina is awesome. It was bound to rub off.
(DH does something to annoy me)
ME: I'm going to wait until you are asleep and I'm going to stick my thumb in your butt.
I even know what most sexual terminology means and comes from (not that I participate, I just get curious). For example ... "dirty Sanchez".
I know, very strange.
I also like to go to bars/dinner with my DH and some friends and get sloshed every once in a while. My BFF and I are beer pong champs within our circle of friends and I'm a pro at blowing rimming balls out of the cup and backwards shots :

I do actually love their kids (I think they think I fake it!). But I have no interest in working over time! And that I wouldn't do this for free if I could!
I will say tho I have had a few parents shock me too! Lol.Comment

I so wished you lived closer to me....we would sooo get along!! (except the beer part...I hate beer.. ...I don't drink often but when I do, it's shots...vodka/tequila/jagermeister)
I can't even print some of the conversations that go on in my house between my DH and I, but they sound eerily similar to yours.

In personal opinion, I think that kind of playfulness is what makes for a long lasting marriage...it also helps that my DH and I "get" each other's sense of humor.

I hardly drink at all......but since doing daycare- I have a glass of wine once in a while on the weekends
I do have one........... I am a BRAVO addict. I watch a lot of Bravo and that's probably why I act the way I do sometimes........

I talk to my husband and grown kids the same way......probably worse but playfully and loving and fun. I do think of myself as a Christian but just not a full practicing one....100% I can't help it I have a playful side to me that has been in the family for generations.... I act up at times, I am worse then a kid....

That although I am a little on the quiet side, I do have a mouth and can and will use it if needed-no pun intended. None of my dc parents have seen me angry.
I used to smoke and if it wasn't for all the health hazards, would probably still.
That I like to hang out and drink beer. My neighbors and my dh and I sometimes hang out after work-in my neighbor's driveway and have a few or have bon fires with a few. I also like to go to bars every once a while to dance...hey I can dance really good, especially after I've had a few...
That I really like hard rock music, not really the heavy metal where you can't understand them, but definitely the harder stuff.
That although I do love their kids, (well most of them) that there are definitely things that I can't stand about them and aren't cute to me like they are to them.
Although I really support breast feeding and don't mind that you do it everyday at pickup even though you live 10 minutes away, I really don't want to see a full shot of your boob. Ok, more of a vent....Comment

My parents know VERY little about my private/personal life... and I guarantee if most of them knew me outside of "work" that they would probably judge me harshly

I will see a preview, and think "that looks ridiculous, there is no way I will be watching that", and then before I know it I am watching "Shahs of Sunset" and "Princesses Long Island".looks like I am normal!!! 2. Hell, no, I don't miss your kids while on vacation/over the weekend/since last night. Especially not since last night!
3. I am a regular grown-up with regular grown-up interests. My whole life is not spent as a Mary Poppins/Jo Frost combo. Shocking, isn't it?!Comment

Haha I always think about #3! I think people think that we don't do anything but take care children and are always prim and proper. But one day I did accidentally send a text to a parent saying "can you please pick up some gloves, I just got **** on my hands". It was meant for my husband..::
I apologized to the parent and she said oh it's no big deal. At least we know you're human....:: I was so relieved. If it was another one of my parents, I would have died!
