    Grr! New Families!!

Am I the only one who has brand new families miss the VERY first scheduled payment? They always pay before the child starts - but then the first Friday rolls around, and they "forgot". This happens to me EVERY SINGLE time. It drives me up the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I'm going to add something into my contract that states if you miss the very first scheduled payment, there will be double late fees!

I never have a problem with the 1st payment, even the 1st few months, it's like 3 months down the line, they "forgot". And it's always when you have a bill due and your already short.

Do you post any type of reminder? Or are the due dated different for each family?

In the past I've had a sign up in the morning that says "reminder, payment is due today, thanks". That was working great, but now suddenly I'm having problems. I'm wondering if I should make another one that says "payment due tomorrow" and use both! That way there's NO excuse!

I always remind parents on Thursday about payment being due Fridays. If Friday rolls around and no payment oh well, no pay no stay (of course my families pay for the week in advance) and they get charged for the day if they miss and any added late fees.

Payment due tomorrow sounds like a great idea!
