I am doing a ton of chores so that I can completely relax over the 4th of July weekend
Won't be a lot of fun but I will feel so good knowing it's done! Mulch is delivered today so that is my 1st project, clean out the garage...fun stuff like that
The best part about the 4th of July weekend is I debated over and over if I should use a vacation day for the 5th. In the end I decided not to because I have in-laws coming in August and I will need a day off for that. Just found out yesterday that NO ONE is coming on the 5th!!! Whoohoo 4 day weekend happyface -
Woohoo, it is Friday! Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary! happyface We are going zip lining and camping....all by ourselves, no kids!
I'll miss them (my own kids), but it's a long needed mini vacation!

We are suppose to have a heat wave.. so just the beach on Saturday and maybe a movie on Saturday and DL on Sunday night... my DD has been bugging me to see World Of Color.Comment

Dh has to work most of the weekend, so we'll be hanging out at home getting a few things done. Ds has some rock to finish moving so I can get it out of here. We'll have to go mow at the camper, so we'll probably hang out there for an afternoon and swim and tube. Ds, dh, and fil are going to WWE on Sunday night. Dd and I will probably find a movie on Netflix and make some pizza rolls!Comment

My mom just picked up dd and is taking her to the beach for the entire weekend! I am going to be kid free until Sunday... I don't even know what to do with myself. I haven't had a break that long in I don't know how long. I get to sleep in 2 days in a row!!!! happyface Tonight I'm going to my boyfriends and then cleaning most of tomorrow, and then Sunday we are going to clean out the attic to get it ready for his "Man-Cave" for when he moves in in a couple months. Should be interesting...Comment

This is my last working Friday for the summer!!! happyface My own kids are at grandma's till Sunday too so I have the whole house to myself!!! Will probably just end up cleaning/organizing but at least I can do it without a million interruptions!!!
A nice walk at the lake sounds good too!!!!Comment

We are taking our 3 boys camping....since weather in Alaska is always rainy in the summer - we are taking advantage of the awesome weather we have been having and getting outside!Comment

...I made it to Friday! Phew! Long week!
We've got a heat wave headed our way, high 90s which is unusual for us (dreading next week with DCKs and no a/c), so not much planned. DD is having a grandma weekend, spending Saturday afternoon with my mom & Sunday afternoon with DH's mom. That way maybe next weekend we can actually enjoy the long weekend to ourselves without hearing "you never bring DD over"

If I ran 16 miles that would be the last thing I would do all weekend Doctor told me years ago I couldn't run anymore with my knees.. but I do walk but 3 miles is about my limit unless it is spread out throughout the day!
I want to clean playroom carpeting in the morning. Run to the farmer's market and then clean house! Common theme here.. do you think it is because we can't get it done during the week?? My dd will be home from overseas next weekend and I want her room clean. She will be here for about 2 weeks before heading back to college to work the rest of the summer.Comment

I will be cleaning & setting up our new daycare room. My oldest daughter moved out 6 months ago, so it is overdo. Also getting housework done so DH and I can take a mini vacation next weekend. Oh, and to ride the Harley sometime this weekend!Comment

your post made me laugh...there is nothing relaxing about running 16miles... I HATE running. I just did a tough mudder and I ended up walking about 1/3 of it.....

I will be cleaning and packing leaving for vacation on Wednesday night.
Today was my last day with my school ager so the rest of our summer will be nice and laid back.Comment
