My Two Year Old Returned From Daddys, Saying....

"Oh S#*^"..... yea... seriously.. One of the infant dcbs spilled her cereal on the floor this morning and she said "OH man momma... Oh S#*^" I tried to let it slide and not make a big deal about it, and I almost thought I misheard her but she continued to say "Oh S#*^ momma. baby spill me food OH S#*^!!!" I was speechless. She used it many more times throughout the day. I brought it up to dad via fb since his phone is shut off and I said "Just a little reminder that everyone should be watching their language in front of Hazel. Kaleb knocked her cereal on the floor and she was very clear in saying "Oh man, oh S#*^" I tried to ignore it but she kept repeating "Oh s***, oh s*** momma!" I know we are very careful with our language here with an occasional slip up but I'm not sure what its like over there so we all really need to watch it. Ive heard both you and kayla drop curse words during pick up so I just want to make sure you understand she is picking up on it and I really don't want that 2 year old with a crude vocabulary." Well I never heard back... as stated in a different post he was also served with custody papers later this afternoon so I don't know what I can do on his part. But what can I do on our front? I do not want this to stick around...

Since she is 2 and doesn't quite grasp that isn't a 'great' word, and it's NEW, I would give her a new word to use in place of it. "Oh Hazel look at silly Kaleb spilling his cereal, oh FAIRY WINGS, we better clean this up! Oh fairy wings!' (or whatever word you think she would like and therefor, repeat.

Yes...but I would pick something that was closer to the actual word. F-word is fudge, S-word is shoot or sure or stars?

My 2 year old says "Oh shucks". She didn't pick that up here, I guess it came from home. It works though.
