Heidi - Infants Only Care

Heidi (or anyone else),

Did you end up making the switch to infant/toddler only care? I've been leaning towards doing this myself and was reading through some old threads. I read one from last year where you said you were considering it and I was just curious if you did. If you did, how is it going? Are you finding that financially it was a good move?

Yes and no..

I have a couple school-agers for the summer, a sib set that come 3 or 4 days a week. Other than that, everyone is under 3.

It would make financial sense, but only because I have never really been full (8 kiddos) here every day, because the real need is for under 2 care, for the most part. So, if I just embrace that and keep my group to 4 kiddos (each one under 2 basically takes up 2 spots), then I can charge more and make it work.

I think in the fall, my group will be 2-8 month olds (1 full-time, 1 30 hours a week), a 6 week old (full-time), a 22 month old (whose been here a year now-4 days a week), and a very part-time 2 1/2 year old.

So, definitely not all infant care, more infant-toddler.
