    Wow!! These People Are Pushy

I got a call from yp.com. I posted a free ad on their site. Anyway, this lady starts telling me that I should upgrade for "only $87 a month". I said "no thanks, I'll stick to other advertising methods." She said, and I quote, "You can do all the free advertising you want, but it WILL NOT get you ANY customers. And if you want your business to succeed, and thrive, and grow, this is your ONLY option"
    Me:".............thanks for the call" *click*

Then this was my face to my assistant ::

Oh! and not 15 minutes later another rep. from yp.com called me!

I got a call that went much the same from YP but it was a few months ago. Too bad for the guy that he called on a day when I got three calls from prospective clients before he called me .

Now I'm wondering if that's their "gimmick" because that's what he told me too. I told him yeah buddy, I get 3-5 calls a week from people and I've never had to pay for advertising. SMH.

I bet it is. I kept thinking besides the cost of printing flyers, business cards, etc. I haven't paid for advertising and I've done pretty well so far. I just couldn't believe that she actually said this was my only chance ::::yeah right

i had a client come just to interview with me for her child. She worked for YP. everything went great at the interview and then a few days later she throws the sales pitch at me.

I told her that because I was such a small business with a small clientele, I did not need that type of advertising. I only needed to reach 6 families at that time. She never enrolled her child, but called be each quarter and did the same thing. Finally I asked her, do you know what the definition of insanity is??? She says huh....I said when keep doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result. I think you reached insanity, please stop calling me........yeah guess you could say I was sooooooooo Irritated...

I would have told him "well that's funny because I have gotten plenty of calls from perspective clients today" and hang up.

for OP, if they call again I would tell them that they need to stop calling that you are going to report them to the BBB for harassment- then hang up and report them.
