Both. I stock up when they go on sale and use my deep freeze to store. I love a roast chicken for Sunday dinner, then I make soup, tacos, etc. from the rest. DH loves the dark meat so he eats that.

I buy the chicken tenderloins from sams club and vacuum seal them. Much cheaper to buy in bulk and package ourselves. I don't buy chicken nuggets either. I make them out the the tenders.

I buy frozen chicken breasts for daycare and will throw them in the crockpot for the kids. They love the different kinds of "chickens" I make and never request chicken nuggets beyond the first week. LOL.

I almost always use the fresh (which were usually frozen previously ) and not the frozen. As far as the cut, it really depends on the meal. I use the thighs, tenderloins, breasts, the whole thing.....

I buy whole and just breasts. Depends what I'm using it for. If I need shredded chicken, I prefer to just use a whole-they seem to shred better.
