    Need Advice About Violent Threats

First of all, these threats are NOT coming from my DCK's parents.

My mother in law has been sending threatening texts, messages and phone calls. Last night, she started threatening physical violence and telling DH and I that she WILL get us. I believe she will try to do something to us. So does my husband. We are going today to file for an order of protection for ourselves and our daughter. Truthfully, I don't think a piece of paper is going to stop her but we are doing it anyway. I told DCM about the happenings (I only have one kiddo right now because I'm pregnant) she was concerned and she and her husband decided to leave DCG with me yesterday, and part of the day today. I'm just so worried that MIL will do something while DCG is here. She knows I'm here during the day by myself (and it's me that she's angry with, more so than my husband anyway) so it would be the perfect time to 'get me' as she said. I am genuinely afraid. Do I legally have a leg to stand on to tell DCG's parents she shouldn't come back because of all of this? They are taking a wait and see attitude but they don't know her or her past. We do. TIA.

You have every right to say you do not feel safe having her at your home-

If you feel that level of unsafe you shouldn't be there and neither should any daycare kids.

Get an order for protection and move yourself somewhere safe until the danger passes.
